PETRA CHURCH was planted in Budaka Town in 2013 by Pastor Barnabas Samuel Aliku and a group of other Pastors and well-wishers with a vision of life transformation in families and this was to happen through the Rural Networks & Communities. RILM Church is a church planting movement with a training ideology of Pastors and other ministers through a learning cohort led by the senior Pastors who head the department of Church planting in the rural areas of Budaka, across Uganda and across the borders in the end.

God has also given us a desire to minister to under-resourced and the overlooked
rural communities of small villages and town in rural Africa. In 2017, we planted our second rural church in the village of Bupuchai, Iki-Iki in Budaka let by Pastor Clement and Joy Mudenya. Through this church planting network, we have had the privilege to mentor and train rural pastors from the heartland of Budaka. We resource these ministers, invest in their families, come alongside their churches and train them for the challenges of rural ministry. 

Petra Church is helping small Churches make a BIG impact in Rural Communities and through our Leadership Trainings the Petra Rural Church Network is a growing community of small-town and rural church pastors and leaders who believe our God is capable of doing BIG things in small places.
